STANDARD FLU VACCINE
The 2025 Standard Flu Vaccine (available to everybody from 6 months of age) is called INFLUVAC TETRA. This vaccine remains FUNDED and FREE for patients who meet the eligibility criteria.
- Standard Flu vaccines for patients not eligible for a funded vaccine are available from Monday 24/3/2025 and the cost is $38.00
- Standard Flu vaccine for patients eligible for a funded vaccine are available from Tuesday 1/4/2025.
ADVANCED FLU VACCINES
There are two advanced flu vaccines available from Monday 24 March 2025:
- The 2025 Advanced Flu Vaccine, for patients aged between 6 months and 64 years, is called FLUCELVAX QUAD* and costs $45.00 per vaccine.
- The 2025 Advanced flu vaccine, for patients aged 65 years and over, is called FLUAD QUAD** and costs $50.00.

Non-enrolled patients (aged 9yrs and over) can attend our Urgent Care service, from Tuesday 1st April 2025, to have their standard or advanced flu vaccine administered. Fees incurred are as above. However, Urgent Care is not an appointment-based service and patients are seen in order of arrival or acuity.
SHINGLES VACCINE – Available Now
The shingles vaccine “SHINGRIX” is recommended for all people aged 50 years and over, as this is when people are most at risk of developing shingles. Shingles can leave people with lasting pain, long after the rash has gone, and recent studies have shown the vaccine to provide at least 87.7% protection.
- This vaccine is funded for people aged 65 years only.
- Non-funded vaccines cost $420 per vaccine. Two vaccines are required, 2-6 months apart, to complete the course.
RSV VACCINE
The AREXVY vaccine protects against the RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). It is recommended for people aged 60 years and over. This vaccine has a 94.6% efficacy against the RSV virus. People most at risk are the elderly, patients with COPD, Asthma, Chronic Heart Failure, Diabetes and advanced Liver and Kidney disease.
This vaccine costs $470 and needs to be prepaid for ordering purposes – no booster is recommended at this stage.
COVID VACCINE: Not administered at OneHealth.
